As a physics student, I want to know if that top spectral image a render is from Shade-10? What other light tricks Shade-10 do? Can I successfully retry my (failed Shade-8) double slit experiment in Shade-10??

Does Shade-9/10 utilize the graphics card? Shade-8 doesn't.

Where can one find the manuals for 8? I'm using 8.5.2 Pro from 3D World (THANK YOU for that by the way :-) ), but the links in the help PDF to the other guides don't do anything or lead anywhere.

We've only just got that issue of 3D World in Australia. Are we therefore too late to take up the offer for Shade 8.5?

i bought 7. wondered where i can download the manuals for 8.5?

Because of space limitations, they couldn't be included on the disk. You should check out the shadecamp.net wiki. This really starts with Shade 9, but the interface is little changed between 8.5 and 9 so the differences shouldn't get in the way.

Best,

Hello, I just picked up 3D Artist Magazine and much to my surprise found that it was just the standard version of Shade, which is not a problem since I had not even heard of it until recently. I simply want to find out if it will be useful for what I do. Great magazine though. I'll be a regular reader.
